Starting from the village of Brynsiencyn on Anglesey we followed the lane downhill towards St Nidan’s Church, I asked the group to look out for the small tumulus hidden in the field on the right on the way down. Result, nobody found it, but I stopped and showed them where it was. Further on down we turned right along a footpath which incidentally was the Anglesey Coastal path, we then entered the woodland and back across fields to go past the Halen Mon and Sea Zoo. We kept going past Tal y Foel Pier making our way over the pebbles on the shoreline and roughly when we were opposite the Caernarfon Castle we turned right straight up to Cae Mawr Farm, following the path to Cerrig y Bracud and joined the road. We continued along footpaths and tracks back to Brynsiencyn. A lovely day 12 walkers in total 6 miles with only a few mutterings about the stone stiles. On the way home we stopped at the cafe in Plas Newydd for drinks and icecreams. Yummy. Photos taken by Lin, Caryl and Jackie.
