Starting from the Bryn Glo car park, we headed south and followed the river then crossed the wooden bridge at Plas Y Brenin outdoor centre and crossed the road and followed the Slate trail for a while going through woods, footpaths and ups and downs back to the car park. Just under 5 miles but it was quite tricky going clambering over boulders and loads of tree roots. We decided to miss out a steep decline through the woods as it was very rocky and could have been extremely slippy with the drizzle. Good day had by all, and went to the new cafe in Betws y Coed for coffee and some had cakes.
