A weekend walking in the Lleyn Peninsula with South Lakes walking club

A big thank you to Bev for bringing her group from the South Lakes walking club down to North Wales for the weekend.  On arrival on Friday they organised their own walk from the Celtic Royal Hotel, Caernarfon.  On Saturday group A led by Helga walked from Trefor over Yr Eifl, stopping at Nant Gwrtheyren for coffee and ended up in Nefyn, looked after by Bob.  The B group led by Janet and Jackie walked from Porthmadog to Criccieth with free time at the end for coffee and cake or/and a visit around the castle.

Sunday group A, again led by Helga walked from Whistling Sands inland due to the weather to Aberdaron, group B, led by J & J walked from Abersoch to Pwllheli once again ending up in the cafe.  Group B were driven by Martin and on both days the larger of the two groups were driven by Geraint of Carmel Coaches, so thank you to them both.

A great weekend had by all, it was really nice to have the group and introduce the members who hadn’t experience North Wales before to our beautiful country.  We hope to see you all again soon.
