Lancashire

Our walkers went on a road trip! Day One, we arrived at our hotel and went on a little walk to stretch our legs, however we were faced with heavier wind and rain the closer we got to the reservoir. Although the rain spoiled our fun we still an enjoyable walk getting used to our new surroundings for the next few days, the views were spectacular and the fields were lovely and green.

Day Two, train trip!! We went from Settle to Ribblehead ready for the next walk. Thankfully we had significantly better weather than Day One, the surroundings were just beautiful with having lunch next to a stream in the sun – bliss. We walked back to Horton along the Dales Way, Penine Bridleway, a lovely day out in the sun.

Day Three, caught the train again from Settle and went to Dent, this walk consisted in us walking to Monkeybeck Grains where we were picked up in our minibuses and taken to the village of Dent. Once again an enjoyable walk/day in the sun, one of our walkers thoroughly enjoyed the golf course that was attached to our hotel.

Thank you everyone who came on this trip, thank you to our amazing drivers/leaders – you’re fab – thank you to the staff at the hotel we stayed at, your hospitality was superb. Roll on the next trip!
